Vacation Blues

I know quite a few people who are on vacation right now. In fact, if had had the funds, I too would either be coming back from vacation or on it, but alas…I spent too much money once again this year on other things. My grandmother and aunt are currently in Florida, my Dad just got back from the Dominican, two old clients of mine who are originally from South Africa (love their accents) are currently heading back home and tend to also visit Cape Town.

Hopefully when all is said and done after the condo sale and my vacation day numbers are renewed (Jan 1st), I too will be able to head out on vacation. Which also reminds me, I need to get my passport photo done and apply for a passport. Another thing to put on my to do list. But this is one thing I want to put on the top of the list, especially considering that come January 1st I cannot cross the border to go shopping in Buffalo without one. With our dollar where it is…shopping in Buffalo has become more advantageous. And we all know I love to shop, one of the small reasons I’m not lying on the beach in the Dominican right now, lol.

Some of our staff get to go to seminars and conferences. Currently we had two in Las Vegas, lucky girls. I have no clue if they stayed at the Wynn Las Vegas or the local Howard Johnson - I really don’t care. What I do care about? The weather…so jealous, it was bloody cold today! I heard the word ‘zero’ this evening in a weekend weather report, it made me immediately want to hibernate. I really, really, really hate being cold!
